Update from Duane–December 20, 2018

Christmas greetings from our family to yours!

Our family is grateful for this extended time to be at home. We are anticipating spending some of the holiday time with our extended family, as well as continuing to have restful time at home.

We are also beginning the work of a recording project, which will be released in the spring. If you know of a song that you think fits the message we share, please let us know as soon as possible.  We are looking for ministry songs which speak truth and connect on a personal level.

2019 has many exciting opportunities before us, and two of them are new. We are writing a “From Pain to Purpose” book with a study guide that can be used in small group studies, or as a pastor-lead church focus. This year will be used for studying, writing and field testing. The goal is to be printing the material in the winter of 2020. God has miraculously provided the needed funds for this project. We’re excited to see how this tool can advance God’s kingdom.

We are also planning a five-day “From Pain to Purpose” in a South Carolina prison. Our goal is to have eighty inmates with fifteen volunteers and five instructors to spend 40-50 hours together during these five days. It will be an intensive helping to identify and find healing to life’s painful events. I am looking for more volunteers who can assist in walking with these men in their areas of pain. $15,000 is what it will take to accomplish this mission.

The bus is still in the garage in Virginia, and they are removing the old transmission. We have a rebuilt one ready to be installed. Currently 60% of the funds needed for this replacement has been generously donated. The remainder will be due when I pick up the bus in about 2 weeks.

Thank you for your prayer investment in the message that God has given our family to proclaim. That message can be summarized in the following way: We can be turned from victims into victors. God is bigger than whatever Satan brings our way. He brings the ugly, painful things into our lives, but God desires to redeem, restore and bring beauty.  Our family feels called to compassionately, and yet firmly, speak into discouraged and broken lives, pointing people to back to a restored relationship with their Father God.

We continue to trust God as we move forward. God is making a way one step at a time. Please pray that we can hear His voice and walk in the light He gives.

Because of Jesus,

Duane Mullett

at the age of 33 . The title for the song is :
The Prayer of a grieving Mother
Would you be interested in that song?
She put it on notes as well.
