Update from Duane–December 19, 2019

Hello Friends,

Christmas blessings to each of you. We hope and pray you and your families are experiencing the blessings and joy of Jesus during this holiday season. We know many of you are facing some very tough life challenges and our hearts and prayers are with each of you. I am thankful that through Christ we are more than conquerors as we face each of our battles.

We praise God for the hope He gives as we walk in relationship with Him. Even though there have been things our family has faced which have not been comfortable, we are grateful that God cares about each of them. As many of you know, Alisha’s health journey continues to be a part of our focus. But this past Sunday, we also experienced picketers outside our small church. They were angrily targeting our church fellowship because of the Kirkland family (Sounds Like Reign) as well as their dislike for our family. It was a new experience for us, but God blessed us with peace during the service and the Enemy was not able to disrupt or bring fear or unrest.

I am thankful that God walks with us through all events in life.

Cindy has been reaching out to encourage those struggling in life’s situations as well as helping us to become more organized and intentional in our ministry and family focus. She is also thoroughly enjoying creating a warm home environment for us to enjoy during our time at home.

Alisha continues to slowly improve. The process is slow and painful, but God is giving her grace. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family. When someone says they are praying for us, it speaks deeply.

Brianna is moving the administrative work of our ministry forward. She does well in working with our new secretary, Kristen. They are a great team and Kristen’s assistance and giftings have been a welcomed addition to our team. She is doing an excellent job!

Chantaya and Kyra are excited about this Christmas season and are counting down the days until Christmas break from school. They are enjoying the opportunity of attending the same church each week and love spending this time with their friends and cousins.

Please pray that we can be discerning in identifying God’s voice and then prioritizing the opportunities before us this upcoming year. We are excited about the incredible opportunities before us.

Thank you for joining us in prayer, which is the front line of our ministry focus. We desire to please our Father in all that we do.

Because of Jesus,

Duane

Thank you for these updates, pray for your family daily.

I was disturbed to hear of protesters, can you share what that was about?

I pray for complete healing for Alisha.

I wish you a blessed Christmas.

    Keith

Thank you for those prayers, Keith. We are extremely grateful! The protesters checked us out online and don’t think we are accurately representing the true gospel of Jesus. Please join us in praying for them. They are deeply hurting.
