Dear Friends and Prayer Warriors,

Greetings from West Virginia. We are currently in the Parkersburg, WV area and have checked into a motel room as we are still waiting on the repair of our motor home. They are saying that it will be done by noon tomorrow. Our earlier plans were to be home by this evening but I guess God wanted us to focus on the character qualities of gratefulness and flexibility on this tour. It has indeed been challenging as we have felt rather “unsettled” and unorganized most of the time. I told Duane that I have felt like a “turtle without its shell”!  =)   The motor home is our “home” and although we were so grateful for the two motor homes that we were able to use, we still didn’t have everything along and kept wishing for things that we forgot to bring. On Saturday morning, before our noon banquet started, we had to get off of the borrowed motor home and check into a room. It had to be taken into the garage because one of the tires needed to be changed. We were so grateful that my mom was able to come along on this tour to assist us with the little girls. We didn’t know how much her help would be appreciated! Hopefully, by tomorrow we will be heading back home to North Carolina.

God gave special grace to us to be able to share in the services this last week. We, of course, shed many tears but I believe that God was glorified and we met so many, many people with stories of their own pain filled journeys.

I was reading in Hebrews today were it says that we should…”run with patience…” What does this look like?  The word “run” indicates an action. How do we “run with patience”? I think this can look like…continuing to run in our Christian walk even when we have deep sorrow in our spirit … the power to still run even when we have heavy hearts. I believe that God calls us to bury our sorrows not in inactivity and in private but in active service and in contributing to the joy of other individuals. “Running with patience” can look so different for each of us. (It can even include situations where a motor home breaks down! =) In what ways has God given you the opportunity to put this into practice?

Blessings to each of you!

Cindy (for The Mullett Family)
